Resumo
Este traballo ten como obxectivo a revisión dos estudos sobre o fenómeno da arte rupestre gravada ao aire libre dende unha perspectiva etnoarqueolóxica, que integre tanto a dimensión material como a inmaterial destes conxuntos. A chave do mesmo radica no estudo duns monumentos estáticos no espazo, mais reinterpretados dinamicamente co paso de séculos e sociedades a través da creación de paisaxes culturais e simbólicas. Este enfoque de estudo, que conta cun limitado desenvolvemento na investigación arqueolóxica peninsular, fundaméntase en dúas bases: a importancia da capa simbólica na conformación da paisaxe cultural e a capacidade da tradición oral como axente socializador do patrimonio arqueolóxico. Así, este estudo enténdese como unha revisión historiográfica para expoñer a historia das investigacións da arte rupestre en Galicia, atendendo á perspectiva antropolóxica, así como abordar unha aproximación ao estado actual deste campo de coñecemento.

Abstract
This paper aims to review studies on the phenomenon of engraved rock art in the open air from an ethnoarchaeological perspective, which integrates both the material and immaterial dimension of these sets. The key lies in not studying static monuments in space, but dynamically reinterpreted with the passing of centuries and societies through the creation of cultural and symbolic landscapes. This study approach, which has a limited involvement in archaeological research in the Iberian Peninsula, is based on two foundations: the importance of the symbolic layer in shaping the cultural landscape and the capacity of oral tradition as a socializing axis of archaeological heritage. Thus, this study is understood as a historiographical review to expose the history of rock art research in Galicia, attending to the anthropological perspective, as well as to approach the current state of this field of knowledge.
